K2 Expedition Itinerary
Expand AllDay 1: Arrival in Islamabad, Pakistan
Meet our expedition team and fellow climbers. Rest and prepare for the journey ahead.
Day 2: Flight to Skardu
Enjoy a scenic flight over the rugged mountains to Skardu, the heart of Pakistan’s Karakoram region.
Day 3: Exploration and Final Preparations in Skardu
Spend the day exploring Skardu’s vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes while organizing equipment and final logistics.
Day 4: Drive from Skardu to Askoli
Begin the drive through narrow valleys and rugged terrain to Askoli, the last village on the trek route, and continue on to Johla.
Day 5: Trek from Johla to Paju
Begin trekking along the Braldu River to reach Paju, where we set up camp for the night.
Day 6: Rest day at Paju.
Acclimatisation and rest day at Paju.
Day 7: Trek from Paju to Urdukas
Trek through the rocky terrain between Paju and Urdukas.
Day 8: Trek from Urdukas to Ghoro II
The route becomes steeper and more technical as we approach Ghoro II, a perfect spot to view the mountains surrounding the Baltoro Glacier.
Day 9: Trek from Ghoto II to Concordia
Trek along the Baltoro Glacier to reach Concordia, offering unparalleled views of the surrounding peaks.
Day 10: Trek from Concordia to K2 Base Camp.
Reach K2 Base Camp after four hours of trek through mountain terrain.
Days 10-45: Climbing and acclimatization period
Spend the next 6 weeks carefully acclimatizing and climbing the various camps up the K2 route. Rotations between Base Camp and higher camps (Camps 1-4) will help build altitude tolerance, with rest days to aid recovery. Summit push will be attempted in the optimal weather window.
Day 46: Begin Descent – Trek from K2 Base Camp to Ghoro II
Begin the trek back down to lower elevations, descending the glacier to reach Ghoro II.
Day 47: Trek from Ghoro II to Paju
Continue retracing your steps along the glacier to Paju, where the air feels thick again.
Day 48: Trek from Paju to Johla
Enjoy a steady pace back toward the starting point as we descend further.
Day 49: Trek from Johla to Askoli
Reach Askoli, where we celebrate completing the trek to and from K2 Base Camp.
Day 50: Drive from Askoli to Skardu
Take a scenic drive back to Skardu, marking the completion of our incredible expedition.
Day 51: Fly from Skardu to Islamabad

Day 52: Contingency Day for Delays
