Global Adventure Pakistan was founded with a simple but demanding idea: to deliver world-class mountain adventures in Pakistan and the greater Himalaya, guided by people who genuinely belong in these landscapes, by experience, by skill, and by respect for the mountains and their cultures.
We specialize in high-altitude expeditions, alpine climbing, ski mountaineering, and exploratory trekking across the Karakoram and the Himalaya. Every trip we run is built around international guiding standards, careful risk management, and a deep understanding of the terrain, weather, and people of the region.
At the heart of Global Adventure Pakistan are two founders whose strengths perfectly complement each other: Luke Smithwick, an internationally seasoned Himalayan guide, and Hassan Khan, a pioneering Pakistani mountaineer from Gilgit-Baltistan.

Founder | Expedition Leader (Pakistan)
Hassan Khan is an accomplished Pakistani mountaineer, expedition leader, and a serving member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Police. He is widely recognized as the first climber from the GB Police to summit several major peaks, setting a powerful precedent for mountaineering excellence within the region.
Hassan has successfully climbed some of Pakistan’s most demanding mountains, including Spantik Peak (7,027m), Gasherbrum II (8,035m), Khosur Gang Peak (6,400m), Barguncho Peak, and Shatung Peak. His experience spans high-altitude route planning, expedition logistics, camp establishment, and leadership under extreme conditions.
Beyond summits, Hassan brings something essential to Global Adventure Pakistan: local authority, regional knowledge, and cultural fluency. Born and raised in Gilgit-Baltistan, he understands the mountains not just as objectives, but as living environments shaped by communities, traditions, and responsibility.
