Day 1: Arrival Day in Islamabad
Location: Islamabad

Welcome to Pakistan! Most international flights arrive at Islamabad International Airport in the morning. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to recover from your journey. Later in the day, we will have a group briefing about the Spantik Expedition. If time allows, you can explore the city and see some sights. Islamabad is a purpose-built city established in 1961 as the capital of Pakistan.
Day 2: Islamabad to Skardu Flight
Location: Skardu
Altitude: 2,230m
Today, you will take a scenic flight (weather permitting) to Skardu, the capital of Baltistan. The flight takes around 45 minutes and offers spectacular views of the Himalayas and Karakoram ranges, including Nanga Parbat and possibly K2. After arrival in Skardu, you will have lunch and may visit the local bazaar, historical fort, or Sadpara Lake.
Day 3: Sightseeing & Preparation Day in Skardu
Location: Skardu
Altitude: 2,230m
After breakfast, we will visit Kharpocho Fort, which offers a panoramic view of Skardu and the Indus River. This is an excellent spot for photography enthusiasts, especially during sunrise or sunset. You can also visit the Organic Village, where crops are grown without chemicals, or take a jeep tour to Satpara Lake. The afternoon is free for exploration.
Day 4: Drive to Arandu (2,950m) – 7 Hours

Altitude: 2,950m
Today, we begin our jeep ride to Braldu Village, passing by Hot Sulphur Springs, known for their therapeutic waters. From here, we trek to Arandu, located at the snout of the Chogo Lungma Glacier. Along the way, we pass through walnut groves and enjoy views of cultivated fields and villages.
Day 5: Trek to Bukhum – 6 Hours Walk
Location: Bukhum
Altitude: 3,200m
Our trek takes us from Arandu to Bukhum, a summer settlement. We will follow the Basha River to the Chogo Lungma Glacier, crossing it and following the northern moraine to reach Bukhum. This part of the trek offers beautiful views of the surrounding peaks.
Day 6: Trek to Khurumal – 6 Hours Walk
Location: Khurumal
Altitude: 3,600m
Today, we head toward Khurumal, where we will camp at a summer settlement. Along the way, we will have a close-up view of Spantik Mountain. We pass through the village of Manchikera and reach Khurumal by evening.
Day 7: Trek to Bolocho (3,900m) – 4 Hours Walk
Location: Bolocho
Altitude: Bolocho
Today’s trek is relatively short, taking us from Khurumal to Bolocho. We will pass through a small lake and a summer settlement, with stunning views of Spantik and Laila Peak. We will camp at the base of the Bolucho Glacier, near fresh glacier water.
Day 8: Trek to Spantik Base Camp (3,760m) – 4 Hours Walk
Location: Spantik Base Camp
Altitude: 3,760m
We embark on a short, easy trek to Spantik Base Camp. This day will be perfect for acclimatization to the higher altitude. After settling in at Base Camp, we will begin preparations for the climb.
Day 09 : Day 9-24: Climbing & Acclimatization Period
Location: Spantik Base Camp
Altitude: 3,760m
During these days, the non-guided climbing period will begin. Our staff will assist you at Base Camp, and our chef will prepare nutritious meals to help you stay energized during your ascent. These days will be dedicated to acclimatization, climbing, and making final preparations for your summit push.
Day 10 : Day 25: Trek Back to Bolocho – 4 Hours Walk
Location: Bolocho
Altitude: 3,900m
After completing the climbing period, we begin our return journey to Bolocho, retracing our steps along the same route.
Day 11 : Day 26: Trek Back to Khurumal – 6 Hours Walk
Location: Khurumal
Altitude: 3,600m
We continue our descent, trekking from Bolocho back to Khurumal. Along the way, we can take one final look at Spantik and the surrounding peaks.
Day 12 : Day 27: Trek Back to Arandu – 5 Hours Walk
Location: Arandu
Altitude: 2,950m
The journey continues with a trek from Khurumal to Arandu, following the Basha River.
Day 13 : Day 28: Drive Back to Skardu – 7 Hours
Location: Skardu
Altitude: 2,230m
We drive back to Skardu, where you can relax and enjoy the serene environment.
Day 14 : Day 29: Fly or Drive Back to Islamabad
Location: Islamabad
Altitude: 666m
Take a flight or, in case of weather disruptions, drive back to Islamabad.
Day 15 : Day 30: Contingency Day in Case of Delays, Islamabad
Location: Islamabad
Altitude: 666m
This day serves as a buffer in case of delays due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Day 16 : Day 31: Fly Back Home – Departure Day
Location: Islamabad
Altitude: 666m
The expedition comes to an end. You will be transferred to Islamabad International Airport for your departure flight back home.
